I really struggled with the concept of "The Easy Way". It seemed like the exact opposite of everything I've been taught or thought.

I've been writing a little book and illustrating it with pictures from the Victorian era of America's Old West. It's tough going, in fact its been a real pain trying to get it done.

And I was thinking "Well you're already planning another book set in Victorian London! If you're having so much trouble drawing woman in Victorian dress now, how are you going to cope the next time round?"

Then I had a flash of insight - the easy way is to draw black silhouettes of the women. So you can see the outline of their hats, parasols, dresses, and their posture. You would glance at it and instantly identify it as Victorian. And I realised that well done silhouettes would actually look better than fully detailed drawings. And it would be oh so much quicker to do. The easy way is the better way. I'm actually looking forward to finishing this one and getting onto the next one so I can get started on them.

I'm stunned.

Ooh, here's an example of what I'm talking about:

I love your ladies.

I've struggled with "the easy way." As a kid often I heard "no pain no gain." Hard work and nothing is easy......I'm practicing on little things. Lately, I've been conscious of my intentions. So I set my intention (early in the day) to look for easy throughout my day. I set my intention and let go of it, asking my guides to bring me easy things.

Thank you for sharing. It is good to know I am not alone. You have helped me.

Blessings
